40 Years of God’s Faithfulness!

For 40 years, generations of people have faithfully said yes to Jesus and yes to the mission of His church.

Parents have raised children in faith.
Leaders have poured into leaders.
Neighbors have become family.
Churches have been planted.
Communities have been served.

What was planted 40 years ago is still growing.

And now, it’s our turn to carry the story forward.

The faithfulness of those who came before us becomes the foundation we build upon.

We honor the past by faithfully stepping into the future.

THE STORY ENDS CONTINUES!

NEW LIFE TIMELINE

MARKY POO
1986-1995

God's Story at New Life

In 1986, a 21-year-old pastor and a congregation of fewer than 20 people gathered at 44th & Paulina in Chicago’s Back of the Yards neighborhood with a simple prayer: God, transform our city.

1996-2005

1996-2005

The 1% Vision & Multi-Site Movement

In 1996, after 40 days of fasting, we prayed a audacious prayer: to reach 1% of Chicago—30,000 people. To make room, New Life pioneered multi-site ministry in Chicago, planting churches in Cicero, Little Village, Lakeview, and acquiring our 84,000 sq. ft. Midway facility in 2003. In 2005, New Life Centers was born to tackle gang violence, youth mentorship, and community relief.

2006-2018

2006-2018

A City-Wide & Global Family

Over the next decade, New Life expanded across Chicagoland—restarting legacy churches and planting vibrant communities of faith from Rogers Park to Oak Lawn, Elgin to Indiana. Simultaneously, our mission went global, launching movement churches in Spain, Mexico, Peru, Cuba, Romania, Chile, and beyond.

2019-PRESENT

The Next Generation

In 2019, founding Pastor Mark Jobe transitioned to become President of Moody Bible Institute, passing the lead pastor role to Josiah Jobe. When the 2020 pandemic hit, New Life Centers met the crisis head-on, distributing food to 30,000 people every week—literally fulfilling our 1% prayer in Chicago's hardest hour.

Today, across 25 Chicagoland locations, 42 weekly services in 3 languages, and 9 international nations, we are united, stronger, and grateful for all that God has done.

40 years of God’s faithfulness behind us. The greatest move of God ahead of us
