Pastor Chuy y Norma Garcia

Chuy grew up in Monterrey Nuevo Leon, where he gave his life to Jesus as a teenager and was an active member of his church.  He moved to Chicago and married Norma who grew up in Chicago's Little Village neighborhood.  She encountered the Lord as a young mother and they both committed their lives to the Lord as a young married couple.
In seeking to grow in their relationship with God, they started attending New Life community church in 2004 and were received by the "family of love" that expanded their friendships and community.
In 2013 they formed part of the core team that planted New Life Oak Lawn in clearly understanding that God's kingdom moves and expands through the lives of people that love, pray, and disciple others for Christ. A family Spanish Life Group was then started in their home where they invited others to prayerfully engage in the vision of what would eventually grow be the core community that launched Nueva Vida Blue Island in 2017.
Pastor Chuy and Norma with their young/adult children Vidalia, Amaranta, Elian, and Nadelma serve alongside a "familia de amor" that's ready to cooperate with God and make Jesus known to others that want to impact and transform their surrounding communities around Blue Island.
