Are you coming for the first time?

We know that showing up to a new place for the first time can be intimidating. At New Life Community Church it’s our desire that you feel right at home from the moment you pull into the parking lot! As a first-time guest, you are VIP to us so we'll be there with you every step of the way!

What about my children?

Our Kids Zone is available for children birth through sixth grade at every service. The care and spiritual growth of every child is our highest priority and our passion is to create fun, Bible-driven, interactive lessons especially designed for your kids!

What should I wear?

At New Life Community Church, there's no dress code and no judgement. Some show up in suits or dresses, and others wear t-shirts and jeans. We want you to wear whatever makes you feel comfortable!

Meet Our Pastor

Pastor Franklin & Diana Ponce

Franklin and Diana, both originally from Honduras, embarked on their journeys to Chicago at different ages: Diana at seven years old and Franklin at sixteen. Their paths crossed in 2011, leading to a relationship that flourished for more than five years before getting engaged. Their engagement deepened when they began attending Nueva Vida Melrose Park, where they got married in 2017.

At Nueva Vida, Franklin reconciled his relationship with the Lord and Diana accepted Jesus as her Savior. Since then, Franklin has completed two church planting residencies and a pastoral residency, further enriching his spiritual growth.Both Franklin and Diana have actively participated in various ministries, including the Sunday School Ministry, PowerPoint, Sound, and leading life groups. Since 2017, they have also passionately guided the youth, inspiring the next generation in their faith.

As parents of two young children, Franklin and Diana are dedicated to serving the Melrose Park community and sharing the message of Jesus.

Laura Pelinski - Office Manager

Laura is the Office Manager for New Life Community Church Elgin, where she runs the day-to-day operations for the church and is Pastor John Palmieri’s right hand gal. She is an active leader at New Life Elgin in Sunday Service Coordinator, Stage Design Crew, and Soul Care Ministry – mentoring couples with her husband of 40+ years, Mike. She is the “Nana” of 8. Laura’s passion is to serve the Lord in helping make fully devoted, fruitful followers of Christ.
