Group Discussion Questions

1. Where in your life do you try to impress people instead of resting in the fact that God fully sees and knows you? Why?

2. Jesus told the woman the truth about her life without shaming her (John 4:16-18). What does that teach us about the difference between conviction and condemnation?

3. Which side do you personally drift toward more: truth without grace, or grace without truth? How has that affected your friendships or family relationships?

4. The woman at the well was honest with Jesus and then became a witness to others (John 4:28-30). How could your honesty about your own struggle become a testimony that helps someone else?

5. What is one way this week you can love someone who is struggling by showing both honesty and grace? Who is that person?

David Paukovitz – How to Read the Bible without Getting Lost

Ever feel like the Bible is a giant puzzle with missing pieces? We’re breaking down the 7 Arrows method-a straightforward way to track the big ideas in any verse and find the “so what” for your week. No PhD required, just a pen and an open heart.

Lauren & Alyssa – Life after ONEYTH

Ever feel overwhelmed by your future after youth group, like one “wrong” choice could mess everything up? These sessions will give you a new way to think: you may not know the next step, but you can always honor God now- by following Jesus, seeking wise mentors, and taking faithful steps forward.

Suraya Abruzzi – How to be a Godly Woman

We will explore the lives of different women in the Bible to discover what it truly means to live as a woman of God. We’ll look at their greatest accomplishments, their admirable character traits, and even their not so “finest” moments. Through their stories, we’ll see how God uses imperfect people for His perfect purposes. Most importantly, we’ll learn how to go to the true Source for direction, correction, and guidance in our own lives. This workshop is designed to encourage teens to grow in confidence, faith, and identity as daughters of God.

Ray Abruzzi – How to be a Godly Man

Let’s be real- there’s a lot of confusion out there about what it means to “be a man.” This workshop is all about cutting through the noise and getting back to what God says a real man looks like. We’ll talk about how being godly isn’t about being perfect or popular- it’s about showing up with character, owning your faith, leading with love, and standing firm when life gets tough.

Juan Carlos Callan – Finances

Today’s teens are growing up in a digital economy shaped by social media influence, brand comparison, and constant messages that money equals success. Many young people are silently struggling with pressure to look successful, own the right things, and measure their worth by what they have.

Victory Adams – Made & Making

Our faith becomes bold and honest when we are rooted in truth. This artmaking activity will be a time to understand more about our identity in Christ and in community! What can it look like to be authentically, bravely, creatively yourself?

Rosa Sanchez – Be Kinder to Yourself

This workshop helps you identify unkind thoughts you might have about yourself and understand how anxiety and insecurities can affect how you feel and what you do. Through activities, reflection, and practical tools, you’ll learn what to do with negative, mean thoughts about yourself, how to treat yourself with more kindness, and have a more positive inner voice.

Pastor Jesse Alarcon – Living a Life Fueled by God

Dependence on God is His design for our lives, showing throughout scripture that human strength is never enough. Self-reliance leads to spiritual dryness and loss of God’s power, while daily surrender through prayer, God’s Word, Worship, obedience, and sacrifice keeps spiritual fire alive.
