3. The Way Our House Is Built

Why We Exist

The purpose of New Life Community Church is to connect people with Christ and community.

Matthew 7:24-27 (NLT)
Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock. Though the rain comes in torrents and the floodwaters rise and the winds beat against that house, it won’t collapse because it is built on bedrock. But anyone who hears my teaching and doesn’t obey it is foolish, like a person who builds a house on sand. When the rains and floods come and the winds beat against that house, it will collapse with a mighty crash.

Our Home’s Foundation: MENTORING

Every strong home starts with a solid foundation. Mentoring anchors us in Christ through personal relationships with others who are few steps ahead. It’s about walking with someone, not just learning information.

Mentoring is one of the most foundational ways to grow in your relationship with Jesus. It’s not about having all the answers. It’s about walking with someone who’s been on the journey a little longer and learning together along the way. In a mentoring relationship, you’ll have space to ask questions, wrestle with truth, and grow through intentional conversations centered around God’s Word. It’s a personal, relational way to grow spiritually at your pace, in your season. Whether you’re brand new to faith or looking to go deeper, mentoring helps you build a solid foundation and reminds you that you don’t have to follow Jesus alone.

The Front Door: SERVING

Serving is how we step into the life of the church. It’s the front door to purpose and people. When we serve, we’re not just “helping out,” we’re stepping into family, community, and calling.

Serving as a volunteer at New Life is one of the most meaningful ways to grow in your faith and build genuine community right away. It’s one of the ways we connect with others, using our gifts to support and encourage one another. Jesus himself modeled a life of service, teaching that true greatness comes through serving others. When we serve, we become more like Him and we deepen our sense of belonging and purpose, reminding us that church isn’t just something we attend, but something we’re part of. Every act of service, no matter how small, plays a role in what God is doing through His people.

The Living Room: LIFE GROUPS

The living room is where we settle in, share stories, learn, and grow closer. That’s what Life Groups are for: real friendships, real conversations, and spiritual growth in community.

Joining a Life Group is one of the best ways to experience authentic community and spiritual growth. While weekend services are vital, real transformation often happens in smaller circles where you can be known, encouraged, and challenged in your faith. Life Groups create space for deeper relationships, honest conversations, and mutual support through life’s ups and downs. They also provide opportunities to study God’s Word together, pray for one another, and put faith into action. Simply put, you weren’t meant to do life or faith alone. Life Groups help make church feel personal and help you grow stronger in your walk with Jesus.
