MINISTRIES
A place for you and your family
Our mission is to reach and teach 30,000 people throughout Chicagoland through life-giving communities of faith that serve as transformation centers to the neighborhoods where they are located.
Our New Life Kids Zone is available on Sunday mornings for parents of children ages 0 through 6th grade. We encourage parents to check in at the Kids Zone desk through a secure process before service. During service, children will experience God through Bible stories, music, games, and other creative activities. Classes are led by a team of caring adults who have been screened, trained, and resourced with approved children’s curriculum.
Small groups are the best way to connect with others in our church and grow in your relationship with God. Groups meet at different times and locations during the week. We have groups for men, women, couples, singles, and mixed groups. Click the link below to learn more and search for small groups.
“Straight Talk” describes the straight-forward approach and teaching style of Pastor Mark’s exposition. He is known for his passion, practical teaching, and ability to relate the message of Jesus to everyday people. In May, 2006 the first Straight Talk broadcast was aired. Currently Straight Talk can be heard each weekday in the Chicagoland area on Moody’s radio station, WMBI 90.1 FM at 10:00PM. Straight Talk is also available to listen to online anytime, anywhere.
We are neighborhood based Centers that connect youth and young adults with Christ and Community through mentoring, education, and sports. Believing that the community is best served when all individuals of a family join together to pursue a common vision, we seek to empower all generations to achieve the next level of well-being, education, and employment. We operate at six sites in the Humboldt Park, Little Village, Midway, and Portage Park neighborhoods of Chicago, as well as nearby Cicero and Oak Forest.
New Life Community Church turned 25 years old in 2011: a quarter century of people finding life in Jesus and loving & serving their city. When we began in 1986 we were one small congregation with one language meeting in one neighborhood—Back of the Yards. 25 years later we were still one church but now distributed into 20 diverse Chicago communities and two languages, each with unique congregations—all over the city for the good of the city. God had shown great favor over our first 25 years making us urban-resilient in a challenging, ever-changing, global city.
What is a Restart? A restart happens when a healthy, growing church or church planter takes leadership responsibility for a distressed or declining historic church in order to restore the people and Gospel mission of that local church. If done well, a restart can be a powerful tool to redeem kingdom space, kingdom people and kingdom resources in a way that reflects the redemptive heart of the Gospel.
Pine Trail is a Christian camp and retreat center striving to connect people to Jesus Christ in the beauty of God’s creation, through summer camps, year-round retreats and multi-purpose facility rentals.
