Sometimes it feels like the world is deafening and inserting too much influence into who I am and who I am becoming.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
Philippians serves as a reminder and encouragement to renew my focus on Christ. Born out of the incomparable joy of a man imprisoned in the darkest conditions, Paul thinks of nothing else but his immense love for the Lord and the spiritual well-being of his friends. This is how I hold the book of Philippians in my heart: a reminder of who I am becoming.<\/p>\n
As we go through the series, we want to ask and answer the question: who are you becoming? Here are six verses from Philippians you can read when you need encouragement<\/p>\n1. Don’t be obsessed with getting your own advantage. Forget yourselves long enough to lend a helping hand.” – Philippians 2:1-4<\/em>\n4. When you want to become a living testament of God’s work:<\/strong>
\n“Do everything readily and cheerfully- no bickering, no second-guessing allowed! Go out into the world uncorrupted, a breath of fresh air in this squalid and polluted society. Provide people with a glimpse of good living and of the living God.” – Philippians 2:14-15<\/em>\n5. When you want to become<\/strong> focused on Christ amidst distractions<\/strong>:

\n“Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down.
