Day 10 – 2 Timothy 1:9-10

READ

9 He has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time, 10 but it has now been revealed through the appearing of our Savior, Christ Jesus, who has destroyed death and has brought life and immortality to light through the gospel.

REFLECT

Jesus gave his life to reveal God's purposes for ours. He paid the price; we gained the greatest reward. Nothing we do or say can make us more or less deserving of salvation. Through Christ, grace is given equally to all, covering a multitude of sins. God’s unfailing, sacrificial love is so complete it goes beyond the boundaries of our simple minds. It's profound and specific, clearly revealed in Christ's perfect life and death-destroying resurrection.

RESPOND

Thank you, God, for your son. As I walk in the light of your salvation, I join hands in your purposes and grace. May my words and actions be filled with life as outward evidence of your work within me. Lord, let my life change the world’s heart for you. Give me wisdom to make choices in line with your character, especially when my heart pulls me the other way. Amen.
