Day 13 – Proverbs 28:1

The wicked flee though no one pursues, but the righteous are as bold as a lion.

REFLECT

In God’s presence, we need not fear. Still, we struggle to shake crippling anxiety over possible threats or harsh judgments. Instead of walking in boldness, we isolate and hide in cages of our own making. When life feels uncontrollable, we forget the one in control. Remember, the King of Kings crowns us with righteousness. Because of his sacrificial and faithful love, we are made new, able to walk boldly in our new identity through Christ.

RESPOND

God, I cower quickly. I run from whatever threatens my comfort or ego. This attitude has kept me from wholeheartedly serving your people, spreading your Gospel, and exalting your name. May my confidence be found in you and you alone, Lord. Humble my heart. Remind me I am weak and in need of you. Lift my head. Remind me I am loved and strengthened by you. Amen.
