Day 8 – Ephesians 2:10

READ

For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

REFLECT

Here, the Greek word “poiema” is translated to the English word handiwork. Each of us is a singular, carefully crafted poem written for the glory of our Father in heaven. Already, he has set good works ahead of us to complete as his workers in the field on Earth. You may have heard before that your life as a Christ-follower may be the only Bible a person will ever read. Live every day as such.

RESPOND

I dedicate myself today to doing the good work you have called me to, Lord. You have created me with specific skills and dreams. You have intentionally placed me near my neighbors and friends. Thank you for your creativity. Thank you for all the wonderful ways your people reflect your goodness. Show me how I can do the same. Amen.
