What about my children?

Our Kids Zone is available for children birth through sixth grade at every service. The care and spiritual growth of every child is our highest priority and our passion is to create fun, Bible-driven, interactive lessons especially designed for your kids!

What should I wear?

At New Life Community Church, there's no dress code and no judgement. Some show up in suits or dresses, and others wear t-shirts and jeans. We want you to wear whatever makes you feel comfortable!

Meet Our Pastors

Pastor Jason Peña

Pastor Jason Peña grew up and currently resides in the Hobart area. Upon graduation from high school, he studied criminal justice at Indiana University Northwest. Roughly two years into the program, God saw fit to call him into pastoral ministry. Knowing he needed training, this led Jason to transfer to Moody Bible Institute, where he received his undergraduate degree in Biblical Studies in 2015. After one year at North Park Theological Seminary, he returned to Moody Theological Seminary, where he recently earned his Master of Divinity in 2020. Pastor Jason wants everyone to know and accept the love of Christ and embrace the lifelong journey of following and growing up in the ways of Christ.

Associate Pastor Eduardo and Agnes Guerra

Ed & Agnes have been married for over four decades and enjoy serving together, spending time with family, and mentoring other couples in their marriages. Ed completed his Biblical and Pastoral Studies at Moody Bible Institute. He and his wife grew up in Chicago’s East Side neighborhood, faithfully serving in ministry together for decades before helping launch New Life Hobart in 2015 as part of the Leadership Team. Passionate about sharing the gospel and making disciples, Ed also helped launch New Life East Side and was their Associate Pastor, bilingually (Spanish and English) preaching and offering pastoral care to that community. He is service-oriented, as quick to shovel snow from the parking lot or teach car maintenance, as he is to lead a Life Group, help with the youth group, or preach on Sunday morning.
