Are you coming for the first time?

We know that showing up to a new place for the first time can be intimidating. At New Life Community Church it’s our desire that you feel right at home from the moment you pull into the parking lot! As a first-time guest, you are VIP to us so we'll be there with you every step of the way!

What about my children?

Our Kids Zone is available for children birth through sixth grade at every service. The care and spiritual growth of every child is our highest priority and our passion is to create fun, Bible-driven, interactive lessons especially designed for your kids!

What should I wear?

At New Life Community Church, there's no dress code and no judgement. Some show up in suits or dresses, and others wear t-shirts and jeans. We want you to wear whatever makes you feel comfortable!

Meet Our Pastor

Pastor Javier Villa

I’m Pastor Javier Villa, and together with my wife, Karina, I serve at Nueva Vida Brighton Park—a Spanish-speaking and bilingual church in Chicago. If you’ve never been to a Christian church, we want you to know this: you’re welcome here just as you are. You don’t need to know what to say or how to dress. We’ll greet you like family, listen to your story, and walk with you. Every Sunday we celebrate Jesus and His resurrection with worship, hope, and a joy that’s hard to explain—until you experience it.

Over the years I’ve served and partnered with other Nueva Vida congregations in Portage Park, Montclare, and Norwood Park. I was ordained and commissioned in September 2015 and trained at Instituto Bíblico Hispano and Moody Bible Institute. My calling was a journey, and my heart is to shepherd and equip people to grow into who God created them to be (1 Peter 5:2–3). Karina leads our children’s ministry (ages 0–12) and mentors our teachers with warmth, strength, and joy.

During the week we meet in Life Groups (small groups) and serve our neighborhood through monthly food distribution, resource partnerships, and collaboration with organizations like New Life Centers. Come visit—we’d love to meet you in Brighton Park.
