Mark and Dee Jobe - Senior Pastor
Mark is the Senior and Founding Pastor of New Life Community Church as well as the 10thPresident of the Moody Bible Institute of Chicago. He and his wife Dee have seen New Life grow from a handful of people to several thousand meeting at over twenty five locations with over forty worship services each weekend. Mark is also the founder of New Life Centers, an organization focused on helping youth in underserved areas of Chicago. He holds a Masters degree from Moody Theological Seminary and a Doctorate degree from Bakke Graduate University. Mark is the author of "UNSTUCK: Out of Your Cave, and Into Your Call" and can be heard daily on his national radio program called Bold Steps.
Josiah Jobe — Lead Pastor
Josiah is currently the Lead Pastor of New Life Community Church and Location Pastor of New Life Midway. He graduated from Moody Bible Institute with a degree in Biblical Studies. He has been serving in various capacities of ministry along with preaching and teaching since the age of sixteen. Josiah is passionate about discipleship, communicating truth to this generation and raising young leaders to be agents of change. He has travelled and preached in numerous countries. His humor, scriptural insight, practical application, sensitivity to the Spirit, love for people and passion for truth makes Josiah is a gifted and compelling biblical communicator.
George and Margie Sosa — Spanish Pastor
Joshua and Nancy Holec — Executive Pastor
Joshua graduated from the Moody Bible Institute in 2005 with a degree in Pastoral Studies. He is a gifted speaker and leader. Joshua and his wife Nancy, also a Moody graduate, have a passion for unlocking the untapped potential in others to live out their destiny in Christ. Pastor Joshua serves as Executive Pastor at New Life Midway and Lead Strategic Pastor for New Life as a whole. He and his wife Nancy have 4 children and live on the Southwest side of Chicagoland.
Mike and Debbie Berry — Associate Pastor
While at Western Illinois University, Mike met some friends that introduced him to Christianity. Sensing a desire to learn more about God, he went on to study at Moody Bible Institute and received his Masters of Divinity from Trinity International University. During his college years Mike began attending New Life and fell in love with the vision of the church and with his wife to be, Debbie. In 1994, Mike joined the New Life staff and has served ever since in various ministry capacities. He currently oversees adult home groups, training and coaching of small group leaders, assimilation of newcomers and organizing church wide events. Pastor Mike is married to Debbie and together they have three children.
Tiffany Daniels - Worship Leader
Tiffany Daniels has led worship in and around New Life since 2005. She loves diversity and has a passion for training and mentoring worship leaders to share Jesus through music. Tiffany writes and records her own original music. Her albums “Joyful in Hope” and “Above All Else” are both available on all digital outlets.
Vilma Argüelles – Events Coordinator/ StraightTalk Producer
Affectionately known as "V," Vilma has been a part of the New Life Midway team for over twenty years! As a graduate of Columbia College with a background in Sound Engineering and Theater, Vilma has much to contribute to this team! She is the Events Coordinator here at New Life Midway and has a passion for theater and all things drama (on stage of course). V enjoys being a part of all Midway events from weddings to plays, but is also part of Pastor Mark's StraightTalk team. In the summer time you can find her on the beautiful beaches of Cancun, and dreaming about them the rest of the year round.
Cristina Gomez – Office Manager / Senior Pastor Support
Cristina Gomez, Office Manager and Senior Pastoral Support for New Life Midway, joined the New Life family in May, 2016. Cristina accepted Jesus at seventeen, went to Olivet Nazarene University earning a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work and has been attending New Life for over six years. She is active with the Women's Ministry and sings on the worship team at Midway. She is the youngest of eight children and is the first in her family to go to college and follow Jesus!!
Deanna Jobe — Women's Ministry Director/ Children's Ministry Director
Deanna (Dee) Jobe is from the Southwest side of Chicago. She and her husband Mark have seen New Life grow from a handful of people to several thousand. For years Dee worked in corporate administrative roles in downtown Chicago, but her dream was to give her energy to ministry. In 1990 she left her job to pursue that dream. Dee has served in multiple ministry capacities at New Life. Currently she leads the pastor’s wives’ gatherings, oversees the Midway Women’s Ministry and serves as Children’s Ministry Director. Dee studied at Moody Bible Institute and Columbia International University. She is a wife, a mom and mentor of women.
Tony Wasso — Pastoral Care
Tony Wasso is a native of Chicago's Maxwell Street area. Through the influence of his wife Linda, Tony began investigating the things of God and soon found himself making a decision to serve God. Tony and Linda have been a part of New Life for many years now and have served in many capacities. In 1999 Pastor Tony and Linda launched New Life Cicero. After leading New Life Cicero for seventeen years, Pastor Tony and Linda transitioned to New Life Midway to lead our counseling ministry. Pastor Tony is known for his shepherd’s heart and deep desire to see Gods people healed and whole spiritually.
Linda Wasso — Office Receptionist
For many years Linda and her husband Tony have been serving at New Life. Linda has been a part of the Midway team from the very beginning serving as Pastor Mark's assistant, and now as Office Receptionist here at our Midway office. She greets everyone that comes into our office with a warm smile and has a heart for helping others when the opportunity presents itself. During her spare time (and weather permitting) Linda enjoys gardening and being in the outdoors.
