On August 31, 2022, buses of asylum seekers and migrants from Texas began arriving in Chicago. This page will provide up to date information and resources on how you can help.
Donations
We are collecting NEW items for each category below. You can drop these off at your New Life location on Sunday and we will distribute to people and families as needs arise.
General
- Bath towels (large towels, hand towels, wash cloths)
- Reusable bags duffle bags or backpack
Hygiene
- Dental kit items (toothbrush, toothpaste, Dental floss)
- Men - deodorant, razor and shaving cream, comb
- Women - Deodorant, hairbrush, nail clippers
sanitary pads and pantyliners - Shampoo, Conditioner, body soap
Babies and Kids:
- Activity books, crayons, or small games
- Diapers and baby wipes
- Warm Clothing for children - 6 months-teens
- Socks - All sizes
- Underwear - All sizes
