Discussion Questions:

  1. When you think about your leadership, are you primarily focused on making an impact now or building something that will thrive long after you’re gone? What is the difference between those two mindsets?

  2. Why do organizations often become overly dependent on a single leader? What are the dangers of that approach in ministry?

  3. What are some things in the Church that should never change? What are some things that must continually adapt if we want to remain effective in reaching people?

  4. If someone took over your responsibilities tomorrow, what systems, habits, or values would you want them to inherit from your leadership? What does that reveal about what you’re currently building?

  5. Looking back over the entire book, which principle do you believe has the greatest potential to shape your leadership over the next ten years? Why?
